Do I need a licensed builder for home renovations in New Zealand?
For any structural, weathertight, or consent-required work - yes. New Zealand law requires a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) to carry out or supervise that work. We're LBP-certified, so your consent and your investment are covered.
What is the Halo 10-year guarantee?
The Halo guarantee is an independent residential guarantee offered through the New Zealand Certified Builders Association (NZCB). It covers eligible new builds and major renovations for 10 years. It's registered separately from our business - meaning it stays in place regardless of what happens to the building company.
